Why Virtual Paint Events Are Here to Stay

Virtual events are undeniably the new norm when it comes to private events. With all that is happening in our surroundings, our lives are changing, and how we do things is affected.

The COVID-19 pandemic significantly reshaped our lives - there are so many social gatherings that have been canceled, schools have moved online, people are asked to stay home, workers are instructed to do their jobs remotely, and many establishments were closed down.

Painting classes, corporate paint party events, and private parties are now being conducted virtually and are very popular. It all started in 2020 and now, we are in our third year, and people and corporations have learned to adapt to these “changes”.

We get to call and see our loved ones from the other side of the world, continue with our work at the comfort of our home, and the most fun part – it is still possible to continue to conduct corporate events online.

Yes, you are still capable of having a creative experience without leaving the comfort of your home. It is still possible to host a fun and engaging virtual paint and sip party. It’s really a convenient way to bond with others from a safe distance. A private painting party for your workers might just be the thing needed for your next team-building event.

Look what businesses had painting parties with us in the last couple years!

We are grateful for every single one of them and happy we can be a small part building communities all over the world!

What are the Pros and Cons of Corporate Virtual Events?

Corporate Virtual Events are officially a “thing” given what’s happening nowadays. These are public events that happen live but are hosted virtually. However, as an attendee, despite the pros, there are also cons that you need to keep in mind. I have prepared a rundown below:

PROS

  1. There is no need for you to travel. No need to wake up early to prepare and hit the road to get to the venue. You only need to spare a few minutes to prepare yourself, dress up according to the theme, if there is one, and click on the meeting link.
  2. It is easier to spread information. Just add the link to the article or the document with the details you want to share with the participants on the chatroom, and it is a sure thing they will click on it and check.
  3. It’s low-cost. No need to rent an event space, no need to pay for an organizer, no need to buy a fancy suit. All you need to have is an internet connection and your device. That’s it.
  4. It is easier to set up a corporate virtual event than a physical party. It is easier to fit a 2-hour virtual event into a busy day than to get asked to attend something that requires us to be physically present - not to mention the travel time that eats up more of our day.
  5. Zoom virtual parties can bring together teams and co-workers from virtually all over the world. A virtual team building event can help remind people of the team around them and also help them engage with coworkers and team members.

CONS

  1. Audiences or attendees can be easily distracted, from laundry, to childcare, to a knock on their home office, to neighbors playing music loudly, or to moments that require them to step away from the screen. When you are at home, there is a bigger chance you will need to get up and grab something. But if you are in the actual venue, you are focused on what is happening in front of you and what the speaker is saying.
  2. The host-audience interaction is somewhat limited. It is like a soulless conversation - the host continues talking on the other side of the screen while the attendees listen and listen some more.
  3. Online events have a higher rate of no-show participants. They signed up for it, but they forgot, or they just don’t really want to attend.

Virtual Corporate Events

A virtual event is an activity that brings people from anywhere in the world. This usually happens live over video on many platforms such as Zoom, Google Meet, and Facebook Live. There are so many types of virtual events. Trade shows, seminars, and summits can all be live-streamed or broadcasted online. Even conferences can be conducted virtually. And of course, this works for online painting classes!

Hybrid Corporate Events

There will be instances where a virtual event is the only option. However, there will also be some situations that require an in-person event. Hybrid corporate events, or events that combine both physical and online experiences, will be a vital part of the new norm in the events field. This is experiencing the best of both worlds.

Corporate Fundraising Events

A virtual fundraising event is an event that is done online with the intent of soliciting funds or other donations from the attendees. Virtual fundraising events are a viable alternative to in-person events. Depending on the type of virtual fundraising event that you are conducting, you may need to consider the ability to collect data from the registrants. You need to know the do's and don't of hosting an auction, and most importantly, how to stream an event live.

Regardless of what happens in the next months or years, corporate virtual paint events are here to stay.
